Just as mentioned in the title, www.tirerack.com is having a closeout sale for the top of the line super grippy summer tire RE01R potenza.

I just picked up a set of 4, and each cost $77--down from ~$150! Jump on this deal soon, because they are running out of stock really quickly.

Yeah prob bc coming from tirerack and on sale they are 6-7 years old and garbage.

Tire Rack runs huge volume, anything in a common size doesn't stay around very long. They're probably clearing out last years stock for their spring shipments.

RE11 is coming out March 1st, so Bridgestone is trying to dump the old stock to prepare for it. Tirerack bought up ALL the remaining RE-01Rs, and is already out of stock in about half the sizes.

RE01Rs did not exist 6-7 years ago.

Oh yeah that does make sense lol..i just remember seeing a report along time ago about them stocking tons to many tire and them selling them way past their good use time..i think is like 5 or 6 years old or something like that..

The reason is because Bridgestone's RE11R (their new max performance tire) is being released in March so tirerack bought up all remaining stock from Bridgestone of the RE01R to liquid.

I wish the 225/45/18 was 225/40/18 instead. I'd buy a set just to keep as spares. 235/40/18 is just barely too expensive for an impulse buy..
