hes trying to get his old school bimmer beefed up, we talked about it at school today... hes got a 86' BMW 325 with inline six.. the engine is in fabulous condition (as seeing first hand)

Alright man, as a fellow bimmer owner I urge you to go for the 3.0L OBD-1 swap out of a 95 M3. You can get a engine with low miles for pretty cheap and with suspenion, not much is going to be able to touch you. The power you are able to extract out of the old 2.5 is gonna be limited and after you strap on all of the bolt-ons, the 3.0 is still gonna be faster. Call Mike at Sports and Imports in Chesapeake, he's the man around here for that kind of shit. Good luck with whatever you decide.
