Poll: Insurance Auction Access for members
I am considering becoming a vendor/agent and offering access for members to buy direct from insurance auctions at actual cost plus a fee. I am taking a poll, questions, and comments to see if it would be feasible and something that members of this site would want to have. You would be able to buy wrecked/salvage/nonrebuilding/flood/theft recovery vehicles at actual cost. Imagine complete shells for $500 or rsx type s for under $2000 or how about a '06 350z convertible theft no damage for $12k? these a just a few examples that are "common" and everyday. I would also grant access to inexpensive shipping. Again, this is only a "POLL" to solicit comments and feedback and i am only "considering" the possibility of doing this with the express permission of the agents of this site.

Its an interesting idea. It would be nice to have a cheap source for good shells/base cars for builds.

One problem, these would all be salvage title cars, which means financing on the higher end cars would be next to impossible to get...
Now a running RSX for $2,000 that just needs a little work would be worth while. I need a cheap fuel efficient shit kicker too...

i've bought cars from copart and iaa. and cars dont go that cheap. And when its all done and say you got a salvage car. then you have to go through the hassle of keeping all your receipts for all your parts and have a dmv inspector come just to issue you a repaired title. Its more complicated then it seems just giving you heads up. Especially since i've been there done that.

It sounds like a good idea but i dont see how you can do it legally. You cant sell salvage certificate vehicles to the public.
