The passenger airbag will still deploy in the event of an accident. The SRS light just tells you there is a fault with the system and that you should have it looked at ASAP.
Do like the others said. Keep your factory wheel, but in order to pass inspection you are going to need to take the car somehwere and have the SRS system re-set before inspection.
