Need some opinions
So im selling the Formula, well ive had it forsale for a while, but am just now getting serious offers.
theres a lein on it thru Navy Federal, and i owe about ~12.5 on it.
one guy is offering 13.5 with a 1000 deposit next week, and the rest of the money in a few weeks.
i got a pm from a guy on LS1tech about trading his 02 WRX black on black w/ leather, auto, cd, cai, 84k miles and almost new tires. car is in great condition. He will also give me 2500 along with the car.
the plan originally was to sell the Formula for basically what i owe, maybe a little more, pick up a DD, and get another fbody and put a big ass motor in it. but im actually considering trading for the WRX...but i honestly dont know anything about the cars.
my friend is a car dealer and i had him check the value of it, and trade-in was like 13.3k, private party was 13.5, and dealer sale was 15k. so with the car and 2500 bucks, it seems like a pretty good deal.
gimme some input plz.

well first off, you don't want a automatic wrx.
Thats a pretty good deal, considering hes willing to put 2500 on top. But check the condition of the car first, as lots of wrx's tend to get ragged on by their owners. They think awd/turbo = god given right to do clutch drops.
If this was a 5spd wrx, i would go for the deal. But since its an auto, i would not do this trade. If you want a automatic for reasons that are your own...then by all means go for it.

you'll regret getting the wrx after felling the difference in the two cars... after the launch, meh....
get out of debt, find a beater, then build what you actually wanted to do, if not, you'll just always be thinking about it

well, if i did get the WRX, i wouldnt build it up to be a race car or anything. it would just be a car to drive around. which is why i didnt mind it being auto, since auto makes a better DD for me anyway.
but getting this would push back me getting another fbody.
but it seems like the WRX has a higher value than the Fbody at the moment, and i could trade it in at a dealer alot easier, especially since its stock and will pass inspection and what not....

Trading cars when the bank/credit union has the title is usually pretty difficult UNLESS you go through a dealer- But that is my experience!

Stick with your gut. Sell the car and get the daily, have you seen gas prices? Buy whichever Fbody you want and drop the 502 in it
It's been said many times but, even though it is worth more now, the WRX price will only go down. Just get a beater and not have to worry about so much of a payment and use the money to build what you really want.
