Need opinions/options for new project....

Ok guys I've gotten my list of potential candidates for a new project car. I've made it down to 7 different candidates. I've made my budget for the candidate for $3000 or less. And hopefully stock or close to stock. I just want any incite for pro's or con's to see if I can take any more off my list. Thanks in advance.

Here is my current list of candidates.

need more description on what you plan on doing with this project/ what the end goal will be... based on how much money you can spend/what you want to do with it would sway my opinion from one to the other.

You can get an E36 for dirt cheap nowadays.

However, any boosted application (if applicable) is expensive and timely to source. Thus, why I sold mine.

My $3000 budget is just for the car itself, I will over time be dumping money in it. I have no exact cap for budget for the actual build. I want to slowly turn it in to a fun track-able street car then later full time track car. I plan on having something that is fun to drive, can handle decent with normal suspension mods and progress I get more along. Mainly wanting to purchase something I can become use to, test the limits of, and expand/modify as I get bored with the current set up. I just want to have a long term toy, something I can keep until I either total it or other.

Not that fast though.

Toss one in a Miata, sure.

edit: But likely fast enough…yes.

How much do for see dumping into this project?
I don't know you very well but I do know tracked cars get stupid expensive.
If you are ballin and got the money I'd go e36 if you're on a limited budget overall I'd say a mustang
Just because the mustang is a cheaper overall build.

Well I'm not "ballin" at the moment but I want something that can be built over time and be fun the whole way, and I will not be lacking on anything I do to it, I'm not worried about budget for the build like I said. I've just always wanted to build a "racecar" and want something I can commit to and will enjoy for the long haul.
