need advice on subwoofers...
I want to buy a new ten inch sub, and need some advice... I want some nice deep consistent bass, out of a 10" sub. I just blew out my Memphis mojo...
here's the details on my shit:
1994 Honda del shit
2 gauge from bay to an optima yellow top
2 gauge to amp and amp to ground
8 gauge to toasted sub
2.2 cut ft. Sealed box
2000 Watt Kenwood amp
2 Farad cap.
Basically, what's the best bang for the buck?
Thanks, I guess...

He didn't mention which Memphis sub was blown. They make a cheap sub that will only handle 400w peak that can easily be blown with that Kenwood amp. You run that risk with any brand.

Subs in Hondas = sound/look like an idiot when you're "bassing" out... trunk hatch, license plate, tail lights, everyfuckingthing else rattling...
Unless you do it right and line the car with Dynamat and account for every loose screw/bolt/clip/piece of Honda plastic... but something tells me you wont do that.
I suppose I could answer your first question... Kicker, MTX, Xplod

Re: need advice on subwoofers...
what head unit are you using? how many volts are the rca outputs? how did you set the gains? where are they set? what box do you have the sub in? how long did you use the sub before it blew? when you say deep consistent bass do you mean low, accurate and detailed or low and mostly LOUD?
