My Offical MIR Thank You Thread
I want to take the oppurtunity to give a huge thank you to MJ, Brandon and Pete from Dyno Inc, as well as Terry (Boostfed), Francisco (Sucka 306), Darrius (AEM Hatch), Kevin (Grimace) Tim and Blake from ODU, the Russians and everyone else who helped out this weekend, it was a lot of work, and while the results weren't exactly what we hoped for we made huge progress towards our goals.
A week ago the oil pump went out on the car (for the 4th time) and with it took out the main bearings, crankshaft and turbo. The motor was pulled, disassembled, new crank and bearings installed, new turbo and completely put back together. We started it for the first time at around 3 am saturday morning. Made a couple pulls on the Dyno to make sure everything was ok and took her to MIR.
The tranny had to come out of the car 4 times over the course of the weekend due to flywheel/clutch issues and one of those times was in the middle of the night in the parking lot of the hotel.
It was a ton of work, and I am extremely thankful for all the help I recived.
