My new 4door b ser tranny questions
Ok jus pickd up this eg it was pose to be a full ls swap but the badge on tranny size s80 so I lookd that uo online an its a gsr wit a helical lsd ive had people look an knew the pre owner an they say its a ls but computer says diff my othwr friend has same tranny an he was told its a gsr also so what tranny is s80 thank u any info or help

oh sweet jesus. i can usually piece these things together and make something from it, but this one is particularly terrible.

s80 can be gsr or ls tranny...more than likely its a ls trans bro..ive had 3 s80 trans and they all say s80 on them...its an ls or he would have stated that its a gsr to help the sale of his car for sure..gsr is much more desirable than a ls..only way to know would be to pull it and take the case off and do a tooth count and calculate if its a gsr or ls..also ls have closed bearing diffs and gsr has the roller bearing style diff..
