The d16y8 is a vtec motor.....Check the stamp again on your block.Come back and then let us all know what motor you really have.Unless you have a d16y8 block with the y7 head.....Which I have seen a few times.Youll need a y8 headgasket/any sohc vtec head/any sohc vtec intake manifold and throttle body/and obd-2 sohc vtec dizzy/a vtec solenoid/you'll need the timing belt to be the same year as the head you have/ummmm a sohc vtec ecu/I haven't done one of these swaps in a few years so I might be missing a few things...but that will definately get you started. I can sell you all those parts if you like so pm me.

Yeah, thats what the block says, It's a replacement that was put in before I got the car, that's why I figured the block would be perfect, but I never knew why they swapped the head like that. I bought it from some little high school girl who said her ex had done all the work. But she didn't know what had been done so... how much we talkin. Give me prices for each piece.

hmmm...
y8 head - 75-150
valve cover - 15-30
ecu - 50-100 or vafc usually 140-180 on ebay
timing belt - like 8 bucks
0bd2 dizzy - normally 150 everywhere
y8 headgasket - about 20 bucks or you can get the z6 gasket but it will lower compression slightly.
vtec solenoid - good luck finding one that somebody wants to part with.
The head may or may not come with the sprocket but those usually run about 20 bucks.

The reason why the prices are so high is because I have to get the parts from salvage yards. It would be alot cheaper if you just bought someone elses set-up.
