Uhhh... Got approved for some up to that price point. I'm not going to go dump 1,000's of dollars on mods as soon as I get the car. This would be over time. So.......... I don't get your lol

My lol is because I've seen this same kind of story/scenario a thousand times before. You're gonna get a loan on a turbo car that has been abused and have these plans for modifications.

How much are you putting down? I'm trying to gauge how financially irresponsible you might be.

Lol financially irresponsible I don't think I am. Putting down 3,000 the particular ms6 I'm looking at is a 06 with 43k on it. I have not seen this one in person yet so I can't comment of its been abused on. The hhr ss is a gm certified one with 36,000 miles that a older guy owned since new and is at the dealership that it originally was purchased from new. I just wanted people's opinions on the two vehicles or listen to some other suggestions. Problem with that?

Car buying 101: People don't buy turbocharged AWD cars to drive miss daisy. My guess is that your already knew that though and are choosing to ignore it.

My advice? If you have $3,000 cash then just get a daily in that price range. I don't understand people that decide to spend $10,000+ on a daily driver. Especially if you're talking about a used car then you're committing at least $17,500 (assuming 2.6% APR over 48mo. and a $3000 down payment) to a car that you don't even know the history of. If you want a fun car for the weekends then that's one thing, but why commit so much to something you're just gonna beat on anyway?
