I was thinking of building a VW like a "92" GTI 16v or an "81" Scirocco.....Swapping in the VR6 or maybe doing a supercharged 1.8 conversion...what you guys and gals think?

i'd go with bspeed on this one and swap something into an a2 chasis. personally i'd do supercharged vr6 as opposed to a 1.8t but that's just my .02.
btw, this is always a lovely option....

dood get a Corrado...I have a VR6 Corrado and love that thing to death. it had been sitting without moving for like 2 years now, but when I'm ready, i'm gonna hook him up...all i have is h&r race springs, k&n filter, and removed center muffler...that thing is awsome.
YOu don't need to go with the super charger...yuo can swap out a 1.8T or swap the supercharger for a turbo. I love German cars alot more then my honda... but my honda doesn't break as much....=) but my C runs, just insurance is high...so i keep him hidden for now. it will make it's come back...but in the Mountains/canyons of Southern California. that's where it is now.
