1989 JDM B16A1 Rebuild

headwork

Port Polish head / .30 off head / angle 3 valve job

-$500

block work

milling/replace stuff/valves ground/boring (how much to bore tho)

- $500

Balance Engine

- $175

------------------------

parts: I can buy on my own or ill let him replace the stuff to stock parts

What pistons or stock?
What rods or stock?
What kind of gasket kit?
ARP HEADBOLTS!

FLYWHEEL:

What should I do about this? Get it resurfaced or buy a lighen one? Does a lighen one really matter?

DO NOT GO TO APPLES.....they screwed my friend over.....SPEND YOUR MONEY AT A BETTER SHOP. ABACUS RACING i heard was pretty good.

in all honesty from what I have read/heard and seen if you want a damned good port and polish job, Steen racing kicks ass, that guy loves to port and polish, of course you would need to send your block and everything else to get all the other work done, but If I were you I would go with steen for your porting and polishing needs then someone else to bore your block, and they will only bore out to the size of the pistons you plan on putting in, as far as everything else, I used to go to Performance Unlimited, but after they screwed up my Crank from the turning they did I'm a little skeptical about them, but they did a kick ass job on my block, and pressing my pistons in and reconditioning my rods

just my opinion plus they are all fairly reasonable

How much are you willing to spend on the head work. comptechusa.com does aswesome work.
