Maaco and good should not be used in the same sentence when talking about painting a car.

In general (I'm sure someone has a buddy that works there) Maaco is good for a car you don't care about that has different color body panels that you want to have close to the same color body panels. They're in a strange void, if you truly don't care about the car, rattle can special it, but if you do care then spend the money and get a quality job.

Basically what eng said -- and even if you do the prep work I've seen them mess up.. and of course you're then stuck with a shitty paint job and all your prep work went out the window..
