im thinking of painting my car but get the clear coat..has anyone gotton their paint job from that shop?

Maaco and good should not be used in the same sentence when talking about painting a car.

Save up some more money and do it right, you'll be glad you did.

the only time maaco paint comes out well is when you do all your own prep work.

In which case you've already done all the hard work and should just paint it yourself.

In general (I'm sure someone has a buddy that works there) Maaco is good for a car you don't care about that has different color body panels that you want to have close to the same color body panels. They're in a strange void, if you truly don't care about the car, rattle can special it, but if you do care then spend the money and get a quality job.

Basically what eng said -- and even if you do the prep work I've seen them mess up.. and of course you're then stuck with a shitty paint job and all your prep work went out the window..

Do it yourself or pay quality money for a quality job.
