Default Looking to get a certificate in welding

Im looking for a class to get a certificate in welding,I only know of 1 vocational school that offers this for adults,but im sure there has to be more out there!If anyone has any info please let me know!

I googled it but i dont want to get any kind of degree,or a big class,I want to learn in a small class and hands on

There's gotta be a local trade school in your area to take classes. And there pretty cheap

Dam that sucks, sometimes they have spring/summer classes but mostly its for the fall.

For the people in Richmond I went here many moons ago http://www.richmond.k12.va.us/schools/rtc109/ I wanna go back for engine/body work

I was looking into TCC but I dont wanna do 33 credits...im mainly looking to help out my own fab work,and put another "trade" on my resume

you can "audit" a course, meaning you don't have to declare a degree or take it for credit. you take it just because you have an interest and they want your money.

has anyone on here actually taken one of these courses around Virginia Beach,Norfolk or Suffolk?

google the instructors to see if there are any postings of reviews or comments of the instructor. the one my father took as a refresher wasn't in that area, but he's been welding for decades and just wanted some pointers from other welders, and to network with others since it's a hobby for him.

try to take one in the evening, at least the last class of the day -- that way you can stay later to work using the equipment instead of being rushed out the door so the next class can start.
