On the look-out for new daily driver...
So I sold my 996TT and am getting ready to unload my E36 328is daily driver... Looking for a clean unmolested E36 M3 with a 5speed... "Where have all the good ones gone" has come to mind in searching, but I do realize they're older and harder to find.
If you had the following requirements, what would you look for as a suitable option?
Also was looking at a 2004 MazdaSpeed Miata, but not sure I want the windnoise of a convertible... And I have a 2006 Dodge 3500 that could be used during crappy weather (snow/ice), if that makes any difference...
Let the games begin!

- Must be RWD.
- Must be K-lean with no rust.
- Must be absolutely reliable.
- Shooting for less than $15K price.
- Must have "pep".
- Must be able to do a track day with simple pad replacement/trackwheel swap.

I know exactly what you mean. I spent several months looking for a clean, low mileage e36 m3 with no luck what so ever. Have you considered an e46 330 zhp?

Based on nothing more than your bulletized requirements, I would suggest and S2000 as well. Althought I say AP2 (yes, that's right).
However, based on your original interest being an E36 M3, I'm going with these guys.... E46 330.

I couldn't take you seriously with using the word K-lean in which you meant clean or referring to something different.

Buy my G35 . . . Has the rodknock option.
Honestly though, if you could find one for under that price, would be kinda fun (although heavy for the track).

Actually though I love the ZHP, it's a great driver's car, I would just hate to maintain any out of warranty BMW.
And yes I know the subframe is a recall
