So... you get a POS car and can't afford $15,000 wheels/tires? No problem... rent them. Apparently this is the latest thing popping up around big cities. Like a rent-a-center for car parts.

The rental payments are easier to make since they receive enough to cover it by painting their cars like a Milky Way or Zebra Stripe gum.

That's not the latest trend,they've have wheel rentals for YEARS, man.
In the end, it's actually not a bad idea on paper. You get the wheels, and when you want something different, you can turn them in and get a new set without losing your ass selling them used.
Plus, it creates jobs. Those wheels aren't going to repossess themselves.

Yeah, places like USA Discounters or whatever the fuck it's called have been "renting" wheels for a long time.
There is a place called "Rent-N-Roll" (IIRC) on Little Creek Rd. That shit made me laugh the first time I saw it.
