Just bough a daily driver :D
We found a few things while working on my car that we don't like. Not that it was going to be a problem in the near future atleast but we were seeing what a car that has seen track time after 65,000 miles on it. Since my car was going to be down untill I could do what I wanted to do with it before we put it back together. I went out and bought a daily driver.
2002 Toyota Celica GT in a navy color
it had 27k miles on it and looked prety good. I just found a place in it where it had been dented in where the front bumper meets the passenger side quarter panel. It has power locks, windows, moon roof, 6 disc cd changer. I also bought a 100,000 mile warranty since the factory warranty was going to expire in another 9,000 miles. Im not going to do much as far as mods go. I may throw a header on it, exhaust, short ram air and a k&n filter. That will be all I need. Just to get a lil more pep out of the car. Drives really nice. I just had to get use to driving a stick. I learned in all but 45 mins and was out driving on the interstate soon after with no problems.
So if you thought I diden't like imports.. You were wrong because now i drive one every day .

Re: Just bough a daily driver :D
We found the front cam bearing was a little rough. The journals on the cam looked fine. I must have had some metal in the oil that chewed up the cam bearing a little bit. It probably would have gone awhile before I would have had any problems but I dont want to take a chance. Im going to do an engine rebuild as soon as I can afford it. Put it back together and let it eat .
I might join a celica board. I don't know if I should because the minute I start hearing people running good times in one ill want to start moding lol. Fastest GT Celica I have seen so far was running low 14's with quite a bit of work. It's definatly a pepy car but not somthing id get serious about moding and taking to the track. Cost to much to get it even out of the 15's lol.
