I've found a window of opportunity
OK, so my daily driver 00 civic ex threw a rod on my way back to base not too long ago. Don't ask how, just know that it did. So what better opportunity to do something different with this car and possibly give it a little more pep. It originally had D16Y8 . What would it take to possibly swap it for a K series or B series motor? Possibly even an H22? Im going to take whatever motor I can get, but I preferably want one of those model engines. Will motor mounts be a big hassle? What about wiring? I just want to know how big of a mess I will be getting myself into. Thanks in advance!
P.S. If you know where I can get one of these engines, it would greatly appreciated!!

Re: I've found a window of opportunity
Whats your goals for the car? Budget?
My cousin has a H22a swapped 97 Civic and he has a problem with axles braking. We are going to change the mount setup(hes currently using Avids and we are switching to HaSports, i'll update when we do it).
B-Series- Set of mounts and axles and order a swap. If you want something cheap, LS. If you want "VTEC!111111111" I'd get a B16. Gs-R swaps are a little more than a b16 swap, and the difference is night and day.
(Yes I have a b16 car. I have my reasons).
K-Series, look to spend about 8 grand for a swap.

Re: I've found a window of opportunity
how big of a PITA would it be to put a B20 into my car, as far as motor mounts and wiring harnesses go? my budget isnt too bad because once i get a rough estimate of how much i'll need, im going to take a personal loan out to do it, because it needs done soon! I have no car!!
