ok.. I have seen way more lexus/toyotas with the 2jz engine hit 300,000 miles. I have not seen many if any g35s. don't get me wrong i appreciate the g35s and think all three cars can be reliable, I am trying to provide proper feedback. But if you want to talk about speed i assume you mean quarter mile. All things stock the g35 is the quickest. The is300 and tsx is a drivers race both are mid 15 second cars depending on the years. Now if you want to modify the is300 owns it as the 2jz loves boost think SUPRA. Depending on the year tsx a hondata flash can reduce your quarter mile by a good second. For the g35 you have the up rev tuner which frees up horsepower as well. There is an old rule it is called pick two: 1. reliable 2. cheap 3. fast. I still believe the more expensive of the three is the g35. Please don't take this as a bash but as fact. is300 ftw.

G35's haven't been around for that long though. I know of plenty of Maximas/Pathfinders/Quests, etc with the 3.5 VQ that easily have 200k+ miles. As far as oil burning, that truly is a hit or a miss, but it's not as common as people make it out to be. I will absolutely agree that modding a VQ beyond minor bolt ons for sound is a losing game, and that almost any other motor will see higher gains with similar mods. I agree that the TSX and is300 are also great, I just think the TSX is in a different class and that for the price(which I still say is similar) the g35 comes with more power and features, and let's be honest, who here will run a car past 150k let alone 250k...

My tsx is at 151K and climbing.

This. I fully plan on running my TDI for a solid 300,000-400,000 miles. If I had a Japanese gasser, I'd plan on 200,000 at bare minimum and probably higher than that.

My 02 Passat wagon has about 201K on it now, orognial 1.8T. still chugs along just fine, no issues at all.

Perhaps I'm in the minority then. I've only had one car up to 155k(92 Miata) and another to 120k, the rest I bought around 60k and usually sold by 90k. Partly because I liked to flip cars for profit, and partly because I like too many cars to stay with one lol. Either way, I don't think any of the cars mentioned are that unreliable.

I've owned one of each. I currently drive the Is300 tho. I think if you want to get around in the snow the TSX. Both are nice inside and out. IS300 has a little more torque and if it ever blows 2jz-gte is a direct swap. I'm a hard core Honda/acura head but I like the is300 better. I don't mind being trapped when it snows. Ha ha!

They are plagued with the same problems as Cadillacs, BMWs, Benzs, and a few others...

There is a particular type of people who buy them second hand and think they have some sort of baller status " 'cause they gots a (insert previously mentioned brand here)"

Then the routine maintenance isn't done, which causes other issues. But these sorry sacks of shit can't afford the repair costs because they probably use their government check for other shit they don't need. Now the car is broken, but they'll drive it that way, burning oil, leaking, suspension and drivetrain all to shit, and then it gets junked or sold and they go get another one and repeat the cycle.

is300 is RWD, tsx is FWD and FWD is for faggots.
