Default IS300 manual or auto?

I am looking to get an IS300 sometime next year because I think they are great every time I have driven them and am personally a huge Lexus fan. I know it is hard to find manuals, but I was curious: should I pay more for a manual or is an auto good enough? I would love a manual, but is it worth the extra money or tradeoffs since they are so hard to find? I do want to modify the car, so take that into consideration.

Get what you can find, and swap a TT Supra motor into it, 6spd!

It's hard to find a manual IS300. But if you can, get it.

If it helps you any there is a white one for sale up here on the Peninsula. I found it on autotrader....might be worth it to take a look at. On autotrader it is the only one within a 50 mile radius....but obviously there could be more.

What are your exact plans? The autos seem to hold power well enough.

I'd say get the 5 speed Automatic. That's what I'd do.
