Depends on whether or not that county requires emissions. I believe there is no way around inspection. Your best bet is to google the laws where you plan to register the vehicle.

Well, first you actually have to live there. If you don't live there, it's illegal and fraudulent to register a car there. Second, you'd still have to get a Maryland inspection and some Maryland counties, specifically the ones all around DC, require emissions testing, so you may not be saving yourself anything.

read the VA DMV website.. if you have a valid Test paper from the last 12 months, then you can register the car in Fairfax County....

If you dont want to/cant afford to fix the car so that it can legally pass inspection/emissions then I would look for one that doesn't need anything.

all it needs is a new turbo i was just wondering becuase the guy im getting it from sad its old enough to get historic tags and i wouldnt need to got threw emissions if you know any one selling a turbo that would fit let me know
