Default Im looking for a painter that can shoot House of Kolors

Can be anywhere in the state or neighboring states
Im looking for someone that does amazing work. Cost is no object
They must be able to do Hot Rod/Chip Foose quality paint

I have to repair a mirror on my rx7 and a bumper due to a mishap at the clear bra installers. They are footing the bill so again cost is no object.

I think there are a few good painters in VA Beach?
I heard something about these guys but wondering if they are any good and if anybosy on here has had first hand experience with them?

If Nate can't do it, I'm sure he can point you to someone who can.

MORE IMPATIENT? I've always thought the work I've seen from him was great.

Nate = Nate95accord? I haven't seen his work so I can't comment, but I hear great things.

My cousin's husband does awesome work, Brian Teachman, but I dunno if he does side jobs anymore. I can talk to her brother Friday and see if he could do it. I have no pics of his work, but anyone who knows him that I've talked to has said nothing but great things. Even second and third owners of cars he painted say great things about the work.

Dream Works can do outstanding work. One of my customers cars is over there right now and is looking very nice.

PM gilligan (Dreamworks) and Nate95accord on here. They both do really good work and have been in the paint game for a long time.

Thanks guy's.

Color matching Pearl Coat's like what's on your car can be a tad tricky. The color shade varies due to the painter. The top coat causes the shade variances. The more you put on, the more of an effect you're going to get out of it, which also causes the color to look deeper or even give it a dramatic color change all together. House of Kolor's kind of sucks for this reason. If you wreck it, it's hard as shit to match it again perfectly (even though your problem is just a mirror) Basically any Tri-stage paint is the same. Many spray out panels are needed to get the shade to a match. One panel....maybe spray 2 coats of the top coat, next 3 coats,, next 4.....and so on till the color is achieved. A lot of painters don't spray the same. They use different air pressure, different air temps, differnt overlaps....all which cause color variances. Just dropping a mirror off to a shop and giving them the paint to spray it with isnt a great idea. Drop the whole car off...tell them to spray out some test panels to get the match. Without seeing what they are working with, there's not way to achieve an accurate match. ( a good shop or person would take these steps)

Unfortuantly I'm located on Peninsula or I'd help you out a bit

He's located in Richmond, so I don't think being on the Peninsula will matter to him.

I'll talk to our GOOD ( and I mean DAMN good) paint guy, Mike Banks, and see if he'd be willing..

Honestly, working at the dealerships that I have and being around paintshops, he is the only person I can say with 100% honestly, I can go back to his booth, se a car that is primered, prepped and ready to go and KNOWING where he stopped with his prep work/planning to paint, have him paint it, then go in when he is done and even knowing where he stopped, cant find the blend line..

However, like Nate said, Pearl coats is difficult as hell and I have only seen a few of his pearl coats, but they did look fantastic.. I'll talk to him and show him the pics of your car tommorrow..
