with that compression you could easily pulley up 5psi or so.

I work with a dude that knows you pretty well....runs an LS1 spraying a good shot. Navy guy. Don't know his first name. Runs 10s though I believe (on DR)

I have a 94 trans am with alot of stuff done to it. I also am friends with a guy with a white 96 trans am and two other guys- one with a 94 z and one with a 96z.

You dont have an LT1. GM stopped making LT1's in 97 forever. You have a Gen 1 smallblock still.

I thought every V8 from 93-97 was an LT1, and every truck 98+ was an LS1? Just different cams/intake..etc

Nope. The only Gen II smallblock was in the F bodys, B bodys, and Y bodys. No trucks got a LT1 variant IIRC. And GM still put the Gen I vortec motor in some of the newer trucks. The only truck motors that are Gen III are the 5.3 and the 6.0. The 5.7 was a F body/Y body exclusive.
