Hoosier autoX r3s03 tires for dragstrip??
I happen to have a set of used 225/45/15 tires that were given to me. I plan to mount them on a set of 15x7 wheels 35mm offset that were also given to me. Do you think that these tires mounted on the front of my corrado would aid in traction at the drag strip? Or would I just be better off with my 205/45/16 paradas?
I'm hoping I can skim the 13s this weekend. The last time I went I ran a best of 14.47:
since then I have installed:
Quaife
Vr6 1-4 gearing
Vibra-tech race motor mounts
lightened flywheel
short shifter
and some other misc items
I've already got spare axles and motor mount brackets ready. But what do you think about the autoX tires at the drag strip

They should work better than a street tire. There's a few guys that I've heard of getting some good results out of AutoX tires and dropping the tire pressure.

thanks thats what I need to know about. before my 205/45/16 paradas ran best at 27psi in the front. What do you think I should start with? 30 and work down while having a cheater tank handy?

The firmer sidewalls are going to try to kick your asss, but not if you keep the tire pressure way low and get them nice and sticky. I had a set... well I still do and they were great. Super light and super great (when they got warm), but i used them for autox. Good luck.
