holset hx35
figured id go for broke, ill be installing a HOLSET hx35 on my nx2000 this weekend. current setup is t3/t4 60 trim, 50 pound hr injectors, cobra maf, 300 zx tt fuel pump, jim wolf ecu(yeah i know, but it works fine for now), act clutch (not sure which pp, but its all holding up alright for now), and the other basic ricer accessories. just figured MAYBE someone on this forum had experiance with the holsets on 4cyl cars. that, and discusing it is something to do.

It's really about preference and goals, which you didn't cover.
Holset makes a quality product, though you might want to look into using a HY35 it's just a tad smaller than the HX. Many people with 4cyl dsm's/nissans/etc use them with great success into the mid-400whp range

Re: holset hx35
I have a HX35/40 that I threw together...
Its actually a H1C hot side with the HX40 wheel/cover... T3 / 18cm housing (huge looking) but full spool ~4200-4500 in 3rd or better..
Makes 384HP on my 2 liter at 10PSI
501 at 18psi... 93 octane...

Re: holset hx35
thats not to bad for the 18cm housing. i was going to go with the 12 cm housing for now....i cant rev out as much as a honda can, sadly. hoping to get full boost by 4000 rpm. evberything ive seen so far says it will. those numbers are SICK though, very impressed. how was it on the street? painfull? or driveable?

Re: holset hx35
I find those claims a bit high for a 2 liter, but whatever...
A lot of backyard bmw turbo builds use the HX35's cause their cheap and in abundance off of trucks and stuff. They work really well with a fast spool, even on the 2.5L sixes. I havent seen one with the boost cranked up though.
seems to me a bit big for your app. but if big power and big lag is ok by you go for it.
