Help/Opinions on selecting wheels for a 2005 Chevy Silverado
 

Figured since I'm only on a handful of forums (this one, Honda-Tech, and Thumper Talk) that I would make a thread up here.

Couple months ago I bought a Sport Red(burgundy) 2005 Chevy Silverado. It's a crew cab 4WD. I needed a truck to haul my dirtbikes and Honda motors around. Needless to say... It's easily the best purchase I've ever made.

Not looking to make any moves anytime soon as I just shattered my tibia, fibula, and ankle. I don't want to lift the truck either. Maybe get a leveling kit.

I'm having a hard time picking a proper set of wheels for it. I'd really like to get something polished. Something a tad wider than stock. Don't want an extreme poke. I want to keep the truck functional but have a decent look to it.

If anyone has any good forums they could recommend that would be awesome. As far as wheels go.. Do not say rockstars... I'll neg rep you

I always liked these, and you can get them in about any width you'd want, I believe.

18x9 285/60R18,Trimming of air dam is all that is required for 285/60R18 as long as wheel has minimum backspace of 5.0". A leveling kit is required if backspace is less than 5.0". Lift required for sizes larger than 285/60R18 .

This is the only solid info I have found.

Can anyone verify this?

Agreed, since it's the newer body style truck. Were it an older square body one, I'd say go for some Cragar steelies or something.

BBS RW...? I don't think the TE-37 for trucks are made in a Chevy PCD, but I think they can be ordered that way if you want to wait and spend a little more.

Any idea what size those wheels are on the red truck?
They are actually attractive.!

Would 20s look good on my truck?
I was gonna stick with 18s

Lots of options in stock wheels and many choices. (gmc, caddy etc etc)

Personally SS WHEELS, nothing flashy, none of them cheap ass redneck wheels that look like they came from pep boys.

Stock, clean, simple and cheap!!

BBS site says they have 18 and 20 sizes, both 6x139.7 which my calculator says is 6x5.5 inch.
