Default header size?

smaller headers increase low end torque while larger diameter ones increase power higher in the band, right?

Default Re: header size?

Generally speaking, yes. Smaller diameter keeps velocity high for good scavenging, but then becomes a flow restriction at higher flow (higher RPM). Larger diameter has better flow at high RPM, but has poor velocity at lower flow rates (lower RPM). Primary length tuning is very important too.
