it all depends on what you're looking for....the srt-4 is flat out performance(for the price). The GTI, imo, is more luxury than the srt-4. Still a quick car, and relatively cheap to make fast. If it were me, i would get the GTI 1.8t just b/c i like turbo and leather haha.

you are very pro srt-4...you must be buying one soon. 
they are nice cars...great "bang for the buck" and now that they have LSD, that should help traction problems. if they ever come out w/ an awd version, i'll be all over that.

SRT4's IMO are still neons and they are ugly. Golf/GTi's are well made and will definetly be an all around better performer out of the box IMO, I picked the 1.8t because the VR6's are relatively expensive to mod, and the 1.8's with some minor changes make TONS of power.

Displacement + turbo = mmmm
I DESPISE FWD though. I want one, but then I think about it being FWD.. and I cant decide.
