Is gold the new black?
3 years ago I got black CCWs and it was new and exciting. Then everyone with $2.50 was spray painting their wheels black. Now it's a common thing, and not that different.
Now it's more and more gold... so is gold the new black?
Long live GWM?

i was really skepticle about getting gold wheels at first. I'm not going to sit here and say i'm the first person to ever have them but i definately didn't see that many in the area at the end of 03 when i got the car/wheels.

Brian, paint your wheels gold to be in the 'in crowd'.
It's actually funny because Bobby (ZweetdreamZ) and I had this converstation about 15 minutes ago.

Re: Is gold the new black?
I think maybe people are just afraid to try new things on their cars. When they see someone else does it and it looks good then they know they can safely do it to their own car. If that makes any sense. I doubt anyone wants a certain color wheel just because everyone else has that color.
Having said that, maybe people just don't know what's available out there until they see others doing it.
I personally try to visualize what something will look like, then if I like it in my head I do it. If someone else has already done it, so be it.

I'm not calling the REAL fad alert, just entertaining myself here at work...
FWIW I liked, and still do like black wheels; not calling them a fad.
