Gas price in Iraq
According to this article
http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/...eut/index.html
The official subsidized cost of a liter of gasoline in Iraq is just over one u.s. cent. Thats about .04 per gallon. This really makes me wish that Bush would just get up on a post and say "you know what world? you were right, we did this for their oil! Yee Haw, all you U.S. citizens gas up on me for the next year!"

Yeah, we are not at war for oil. But I sure wish we could just take some anyway.

Re: Gas price in Iraq
i'm not sure how iraq does it specifically, but most middle east oil producing countries use oil sales in place of tax dollars. like in kuwait, school, your wedding, insurance, health care, etc, everything is paid for with oil revenues. so it wouldn't make any sense for iraq to charge a lot for gas when it's basically considered a public commodity that belongs to all iraqis.

I am not sure! All I know for certain is that gas costs way too fucking much here, and I want to buy it for .04 a gallon.
