First Car, Ideas and Questions.
Hello Im almost ready to buy meself my frist car, im still saving up at the moment I should have a decent amount of cash by summer. What I really want an EG Honda civic Hatch back, I dont mind the year. Would that be a good beginners car? I defanitly want to add some light mods to it untill I graduate. And Im defanitly not even going to be a "Ricer" I will avoid becoming one at all costs lol. What mods should I get? Also next year Im taking an AutoBody class for the whole year and I get to learn how to repair, assemble and paint cars, im so stoked about that forreal lol. After I graduate I would defanitly like to paint my car myself, and I really want to do all of my work myself. As you can tell im a NOOB to the Car world, but I would really like to know alot more, how could I learn more about cars other than the basics? My price range would be about 4k? I know I can find a decent car on this forum for that price so dont tell me there arent any. One I graduate I plan on joining the NAVY. Then I should be able to really get into the mods etc.
Basicly I need these ?'s answered and tell me hows the plan looking?
P.S Im only 16 turning 17 in March.
Thanks I really appreciate it.

$4K seems very feasible for an EG hatch with mods. Fix all the broke shit before you start putting any money into modifications though. The "plan" seems fine, very basic and not overly done.

Re: First Car, Ideas and Questions.
Finally a newb that was well stated.
Keep your eyes peeled on here and watch what goes throug here, price for condition, mods, etc. You should be good off for that price range

Make sure the eg hatch you buy is atleast b-swapped. I see b16 and b18 hatches selling for 2-4k all the time, no reason you should settle with a single cam engine. You will probably end up swapping or trying to make it faster, so just start off with a car already swapped.
