Fine for running no cat?
I'm ordering a new exhaust for my car next month and im not sure whether to go catless or not. Just wondering what the fine is for running a car without a catalytic converter. i've been told its $5,000, but im skeptical on that.

Shit....high flow cat it is then. Anyone ever gotten caught? I really don't see how you would as long as its not too loud. And you swap the cat for emmisions/inspection.

maybe, but we have no emission tests whatsoever, so basically it's just a cop looking under your car to see if you've got a cat. but 10k??? i think thats fucking ridiculous.......is it because it's bad for the enviroment or some shit?? i don't see people getting ten thousand dollar tickets for throwing their cheeseburger wrappers out their car window.

i think my friend got fined 11,600 for it...
in virginia anything not stock is illegal
if you're driving an import, you're 10x more likely to get pulled over with just a fart can than if i were to drive around header out, or if i were driving a truck lifted 8 inches... (k maybe just a lil egzagerated on those)
