Default Finding a "cool" but everyday car.

First let me just say I'm mostly doing this to get 75 posts to post in classifieds lol.

Anyways, I've been looking around craigslist, here, cars.com, etc. I'm most interested in finding a not-too-old honda/acura, but am open to other cars if they present themselves to me. I was wondering if any of you had some specific recommendations on some sporty but reliable import cars.
I was looking at some Preludes, but some of their high mileages turned me off. (Although I did see a pretty sweet looking '92 in a thread here.)
I've found a '01 stock lude w/ 57k miles. (apparently salvage? i could never tell though) A nice modded '92, a decent '98, etc. Thoughts?
Also I've been looking at some older RSXs.(02/03) Worth it?

Btw, this may seem dumb, but will JDM engines pass inspections and emissions? I live in NC.

But apparently it's still not enough to keep the F/S Trolls away.

Thinking about bumping it up to 250 and everyone can thank the OP for it.
