Default Fab work, anyone?

So I'm a super novice fab guy dude, and I'm looking to see what anyone out there does. Pics, discussion- whatever.

I'll throw up some of my jank:

One of my early tig welds

An early aluminum weld

One of the class' ongoing projects
3/4 elliptical rear leaf setup, and a gnarly hinge front setup.
They don't make shocks that travel this far.

Another student's project I helped with

I just started this little project- I'm making a light bar for my WRX.

I'll go photograph a shit ton of the stuff I have laying around tomorrow.

I don't do much metal any more, except for stuff like the aluminum mounting plate in the first two photos. I actually don't really take pictures of anything I do, so I'm glad Jay snapped a few (they're his parts).

@ Kris.Is.Foamin...... thats some really good tig welds man ive been welding for 6 years now and ive seen ALOT of shitty work, especially tig welding... Nothing pisses me off more when a new guys gets hired and has only been welding for like 6 or 7 months and think they are the best welders in the world, when there shit looks like pure ass.. They say TIG welding is the hardest process of welding, but to me its the easiest and cleanest.. Not alot of smoke, no slag, no sparks, etc... Its by far my favorite welding process..

So to you on the welding man keep it up, only thing i would say about the weld bead you posted is, it looks like your running your heat a little high cuz i seen some undercut, but not much at all... when i tig i like to keep the heat a little low and just dab in the filler metal, alot of people that tig turn the heat up real high and just jam the filler metal in there through the whole bead, but to each his own what ever your comfortable with... Like i said man Looks good keep it up

You're welding with a corn dog made of metal and flux, of course it's smelly and messy. LOL.

I always wear a respirator while im stick welding, and flux core welding.. The older heads and even some of the younger guys joke on me for wearing it, but im like haha ok lets see what your lungs look like in about 20 years.. I just let em talk their shit it dont bother me, im not ruining my health for a job..

when im Tig and Mig welding i dont wear it unless its stainless or aluminum cause otherwise it dont produce much smoke at all... piece of advise for you, bite the bullet and spend 30 bucks on a respirator it will help you in the long run
