Default Evo Help

Hey guys,

I just purchased the evo up here that has a ticking bottom end. It still runs and drives it just has a decent ticking noise randomly thru the rpms.

I was wondering if any of you guys could recommend the best shop to take my EVO and possiable rebuild the bottom end. I have been looking thru the Vendor and Sponsership threads but I mainly only see group buys and thumbs up to compainies, not a list of each service they could provide.

Any help would be great,

Thanks

OH yeah...757 area too please

mine makes a ticking noise too...it's done it forever now, it's really faint( can only hear it standing outside my car)

I don't think it requires a bottom end rebuild

This is noticable tick when I drive the car..It first starts at around 2k rpm and stops at 2.5k and starts back around 3k.

The only time I have taken it to 6k rpm, I didnt notice the ticks past 3kish

I think a compression and leakdown test will tell me whats going with the bottom end right? If so, where would be a place to go for that in the 757? Dealer?

All Aspects: 757-547-2888
Ask for Kienan

He's familiar with the car and I know he's got 2-3 Evos up there now he's working on.

Gary knows DSMs and Evos inside and out... he can help you trouble shoot... send him a PM (SAGE AUTO) on here... and of course All Aspects. Stock or Modified only does bodywork.

EDIT: If you are willing to take a drive four hours... take it to DTM in NOVA...which is what I would do.

Just turn the radio up. It'll drown out the ticking.
