Dunlop's successor to the Z1 Star Spec now available

I've been looking forward to this tire for a few months. A tire that offers competition levels of grip without breaking the bank or sacrificing daily drivability. Just became available a few days ago on Tire Rack

The Dunlop ZII

Looks nice.

I'll have to put some on my imaginary pro touring 50s pickup when it stops being imaginary.

Aw crap. I really love the Star Specs but they discontinued the 245/45/18. Mine are almost shot and I don't know if I can sacrifice another half-inch to 240/40 or even 275/35. Poo

They really were one of the best price/performance UHP summers I've ever found. Fantastic in wet and dry conditions but were scarier (as in, really fucking) than my RE01Rs on a slight dusting of snow. Just had to try that for science.

edit: at least it's shorter to say than Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec

They cost about $10 more for the same sizing compared to the Z1s. I was gonna try to wait for these but my fronts were absolutely shot. Ended up ordering a pair of Michelin PSS.
