Re: Does anyone know how to build good ported boxes?
what kind of sound are u looking after? sq ... spl ... sql?
box depends hugely on the sub and what kind of sound you are after
some brand i highly recommend sound splinter and resonant engineering as dru mentioned but please please please stay far away from elemental designs
alpine type r's are always a solid chioce and can be picked up resonably cheap
if dru can't help you out pm me i can do fiberglass stuff if u want

well there are also a lot of other choices out there for him that can be a lot cheaper and still put out the same or better sound i would say that fi would be a better choice than most of those the q's and the ssd's are really solid and will handle a lot of power and still get loud of only a little bit of power
edit: the type r's are a solid choice like mentioned i have seen a single 10 hit a little bit over 150db

there is a bi difference between hearing good things and then actually of them being good.. for example audiobahn alot of people say good things but there poducts are very over rated and of poor build quality
ed has a poor quality to them, it would be a good beging setup but once you learn more of what is out there, you would find that there is better out there for your money and equipment that would make you happier in the long run
