DMV titling and bill of sale

DMV titling and bill of sale
I bought a car for a very good deal. It is about a thousand dollars less than kbb price. I got the title and a bill of sale. DMV says that they needed to see the bill of sale, so I gave it to them but they says that the bill of sale is a copy not an original (which it is but i thought it didnt matter). She actually needed a bill of sale with the original wet signature. My question is if the price is already on the title, shouldn't that be enough?!?! If so, I'm gonna see her supervisor tomorrow.

Re: DMV titling and bill of sale
if it a ridiculously low price then they will need to see the bill of sale...
i mean 0-1000 is only 45 bucks....is it really worth the trouble???
how much money are we talking???

Re: DMV titling and bill of sale
i walked in to dmv with my title and a bill of sale and didnt have any price put on the title at all and wrote it up as what the car booked out for which is what i payed. so i guess it matters who you get at the window and what mood they are in.

Re: DMV titling and bill of sale
Its SOP here to ask for the BOS. However, thats when its obviously much lower than it "should" be. Couple things though, the copy SHOULD be good enough and noway I would let them keep the original reguardless. Another is with the economy in the dumps, the state will do whatever/however to put cash in there pockets. Id ask to speak to the supervisor. Why do you not have the BOS anyway?

make sure to get the BOS notorized so they can't say its fake or some bs. They need to know the price of the car so they can charge the correct amount of tax.
