Default Dc2 Type R vs WRX MY02 (non STi)

I would like to see DragVa's opinion on which car to own/drive? The pro's and con's of both cars as well as their performance potential.

As with most comparsions like these...personal opinions are inevitable. But in this case, i want to hear personal opinions (especially from those who have driven/owned both cars). I would like to hear Why you would choose to own one over the other.

Sadly thats true, but theft isn't near as bad down here in Hampton Roads. As long as you have a garage you'd be fine with a Type R.

My vote - TYPE aRRRRRR

You have a WRX now don't you? Are you thinking about trading it/selling it for a Type R? I'm biased as hell so I can't really give you a good opinion. I am curious to the answers to my questions though.

I think I'm biased as well. I've driven MANY WRX's STi's and have riden in a Type R a few times. I think my oppinion is pretty obvious judging by the car that I drive

JDM: Its definatly in the works. I want biased opinions though...because i want to know why you are baised. It seems like Honda people put this typer on a pedalstel, and i want to know why?

mediocre AWD setup? vs argueably the best FWD setup ever?

Im not worried about theft, but if its a big of a problem as some say it is...then its worth considereing.

Topik: have you ever driven a type r?

I've never driven one, but I've riden in one when it was being pushed pretty hard (read: being red lined through the first 3 gears). I wasn't particularly impressed with the power even though it was modded. I'm sure the handling is nice, but I just prefer the AWD powertrain to FWD. Plus, you can make your WRX handle pretty nicely very easily.
