So NASCAR announces they're going to allow less restrictor plate, ditch the rear wings in favor of the old lip on the "car of tomorrow" or whatever they call it, and allow bump drafting.... who's going to watch?

I can just see NASCAR execs sitting around discussing ways to increase viewership...

"Jed.... what we need is more crashes! People like the crashes!"

Amen. They did it years ago in steel bodied cars at higher speeds. Now the drivers complain about being safe as they get strapped into re-entry pods and have walls that feel like pillows.

Very true... they used to run near 210 in the big old machines with far less tire and 1000x less safety.

ever seen the show Madhouse? that's the racing they need to be doing to get views.

and also the story lines. nothing captivates viewers better than white trashy drama

all they need to do, to get better racing, is take the restrictor plate off completely, and MANDATE a rear gear. that way the driver will have to throttle back, and not over rev it.
