Football legend David Beckham’s beloved Porsche is being sold on eBay ahead of his expected return to England, it emerged today.

The 35-year-old has spent the past two years cruising around Beverly Hills in the unique matt black Porsche 911 Convertible Turbo.

But with his love of new cars and a loan move to the Premiership pending, Beckham has decided to get rid of the ”one non-smoking owner” vehicle.

He bought the Porsche in 2008 for £100,000 and then spent a further £50,000 having it customised.

The car was fitted with blacked-out headlights, special alloy wheels, a sports exhaust and emblazoned with the number 23 – Beckham’s shirt number at LA Galaxy.



It also boasts heated front seats, parking assist and a six-CD sound system with enormous speakers fitted beneath the rears seats.

Beckham and his wife Victoria have been regularly photographed driving around LA in the supercar – which will do 0-60mph in just four seconds thanks to its 3.6-litre turbocharged engine.

The pair are thought to be preparing for a return to England with David expected to sign on loan for Tottenham Hotspur.

They have recently registered their three sons Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight and five-year-old Cruz for three months at a private school near their ‘Beckingham Palace’ mansion in Hertfordshire.

Beckham’s one-off Porsche, known in the states as a ‘Murdered Out’ model because of its black bodywork and wheels, is up for sale on eBay through LA-based dealer Chequered Flag.

David Beckham is the only previous registered owner of the vehicle and it is believed he sold it recently.

In less than one day, bidding has already reached $110,100 (£70,000) with the auction set to end at 10am on January 12.

With Beckham a global icon, the final bid is expected to be considerably higher. When his old BMW M3 was sold on eBay in 2005, it went for £90,000 – £75,000 more than it was worth.
