Civic vs. Cavalier...
Hey, one of my friends has been bragging about the car he just bought. It's an 88' Chevy Cavalier Z24 Coupe. My car is a 95' Honda Civic EX coupe. He says that his car would stomp mine because it's a 6 cylinder. It pumps out the same hp as my car, but it has about 50 more torque. His is a 3 speed automatic and mine is a 5 speed manual. Normally I would just take the cars out and race, but he doesn't want to do that. So, my question is, who's car would win? Thanks for the input.

You've got the weight advantage I'm pretty sure, and he's gonna lose power like crazy through the auto tranny.. Tough call.. Oh yeah, I'm sure your 95 is in a lot better state of tune than his 88 too.. Let us know who wins..

id say the civic would win, those old cavaliers are god awful slow, whether it has a 6 or not its a crappy 6 attached to a crappy transmission. its probably losing A LOT of power through that 3 speed and i cant imagine the gearing is any good on that 3 speed.
civic > cavalier
civic > cavalier
