Wow I got a fast reply thanks I know gm offers a intake, headers and catback from the gm performance division and I was wondering if they might not be as good as other aftermarkets since they are from the dealership and all

Dealership parts are sometimes better.... stay away from knock off ebay parts.

Also check Rksport.com they usually have some good stuff for chevys but stay away from the ricer parts.

The big step with any car is getting it to breathe and exhale better. After that I would say a tune... IF your going to Autocross it then I would work on suspension as well... better shocks, roll bars, sway bars... all of that stuff. Then lighter rims with better tires.

If you want to make big power gains it depends on the motor what the best route is. N/A is always fun but usally the most exspensive to get it to equal the power of forced induction ((ie- turbo/superchargers))

hey i was just takin a dump readin through my jan 08 issue of gm high tech performance and found a good article for you

2007 cobalt SS 4dr
2.4Liter LE5 ecotec motor

baseline dyno of 140.7hp and 133.6 fl/lb tq

they added
-GMPP catback ($489)
-GMPP air induction kit ($325)

final numbers were 149hp and 140tq

not really worth the money imo but they used expensive gm parts and were claiming the air/fuel ratio was getting more and more out of whack as they added things.
