Default Check Engine Light Help Needed. 96 Integra

So Im trying to check my cell codes and I jumped the blue connector. But the only thing flashing is the abs light. How do I get it to check the check engine light?

I think you can rent OBD2 scanners also. For the ABS I think I remember that there is a way to jumper the diagnostic connector and the ABS MIL will flash out the ABS codes.

Google something like "OBD2 Honda ABS codes" and see what you come up with.

So which one do you want to check, CEL or ABS codes? If you have a P28, you can't use an OBD2 scanner because OBD1 ECUs don't use the OBD2 protocol obviously. You can jumper the service check connector by the glove box and the MIL should flash out the codes.

So you're not seeing a CEL, but know you should have one? Do you see a continuous CEL under normal conditions (connector not jumpered)...?

If you're not seeing a CEL in normal operation, it would be natural to assume that you would not see a flashing CEL when you jumpered the diagnostic connector.

So this tells me one of two things:
  1. You don't have a CEL, but you have an ABS problem
  2. The CEL is blown or not connected properly
