Caught Ridin Dirty
I dont know how many of you are familliar with Stafford counties finest, but they caught me riding dirty on a suspended license. Has anyone gotten out of one, i have a good friend that said if i pay the ticket (the reason i was suspended) and get my license reinstated from the DMV i could get it droped when i go to court. ANY advice one how to find a loop-hole would be great!

Did you ever sign a letter or anything about it being suspended? If you didnt, you can say I didnt know, they make you write something that says you now know, and they take your license(actual copy of it), that is exactly how my best friend got out of it in fairfax.

yeah i signed the letter today when the cop pulled me over, but other than that i never gotten anything in the mail saying it was suspended. Possible loop-hole?

just do as your friend said about the pay and get it reinstated. i wa sin court last week and saw about 10 cases of this and 7-10 got dropped if it was the first time

Why didn't you just pay the ticket when it was due instead of having to go through all this crap? Also, despite what chamillionaire says, 'riding dirty' isn't cool.

I don't know about Stafford but I got fucked in Front Royal about a year ago for this. I had my license suspended by the DMV (forgot to pay an expired inspection ticket and then moved. totally forgot about the ticket and the DMV never sent a letter to the new address). I then got pulled over for a headlight being out and was told my license was suspended. Went to the DMV the very next day, paid everything, got everything re-instated and taken care of. I took all the documents to court, apologized profusely (it was my fault, after all), told them I didn't want/need a lawyer (I had no idea it was such a big deal), and then got fucked.
The judge sentenced me to a 30 day suspended jail sentence with a year of unsupervised probation. Also a $500 fee with $350 of it suspended.
Do yourself a favor and spend the money for a lawyer and don't fuck yourself like I did. Insurance treats this as a "serious violation" and i'm definitely paying for it.
