Although that isn't true for good carbon parts, it can be said for most of the products on the market. That being said, if it's going to get painted, get polyurethane. I'm a firm believer in using the materials that are best suited for the application, and carbon fiber has no place on a street car if the part will be painted. A lip isn't going to give you any weight savings, and there isn't any use to get a cosmetic part and paint it. Fiberglass or polyurethane is the way to go.

If you after looks go with the carbon one. IMO a few pieces of carbon here and there looks far better than having everything in carbon.

Carbon = more expensive, and prob will break on the roads around here
poly= not much more heavy than carbon, very durable, and flexable, needs flex coat for paint to look good
