No, no you don't. Cheap hoods have horrible quality and horrible fit. This is definitely something you want to spend a little more than just the bare minimum.

Also OP I'd recommend some hoodpins or even better some Aerocatch latches with your new cheap hood, that'll keep the hood out of the windshield while you're driving.

I'd recommend buying a stock hood and having it painted to match your car. 99% of carbon hoods are stupid

I bought a Seibon carbon fiber hood 3+ years ago and have had zero problems with it (without hood pins). It hasn't yellowed and is still as glossy as new.
