You can't completely trust the carfaqs though. It's good to go by, but when i looked up a 2005 monte carlo, and accident that was about 4k in repairs wasn't even posted in it. Just to check, I looked up my dads f-150 which was recently rear ended and it didnt show up then either.

i definitely agree with you. that monte carlo was too good a deal, 4500 for a 2005. or you could have your mechanic look at it.
