i have a 1992 caddy eldorado (my thug car) i put in some 5 1/2 in the dfoor and some 6/9's in the back. i have a sony xplod 500 deck also in there and three 12's in the back, my 12's are blown now, now im trying to hook my 6/9's to the amp for a temp fix, i need some beats..lol the amp is a 2 channel 1600 watt amp, anyone know how to hook up reg car speakers to the amp

I wouldn't do it but hook the positive and negitive wires up to them just let the subs man.

dont do it unless you know that teh speakers can take it

what kind of amp is it exactly? brand, model, etc?

Even at the amps lowest wattage you will probably overpower the 6x9's, unless its a 4 channel amp or something.

Are you running RCA's to the amp from a sub preout? If so, you're only going to get the lows through the 6x9, it'll sound like azz, and more than likely blow them. Just save a little loot and get some new subs.
Crutchfield has 2 Rockford 12" Punch Stage 1 for $120 if money is a factor.
For a little more, 2 Alpine Type E for $150.
